A recent Global InfoAnalytics survey shows that 54% of Ghanaians believe corruption has improved in the country, while 21% say it has gotten worse.

In the same report released in June 2026, about 20% of respondents said corruption has remained the same, with 5% saying they did not have an opinion.

Meanwhile, respondents are confident in both the Attorney-General and the Office of the Special Prosecutor fighting the corruption canker.

“The poll shows that Ghanaians believe both Attorney General and OSP can fight corruption, however, the AG is perceived to be able to fight corruption better than the OSP according to the poll,” portions of the summary report contained.

“While 24% of Ghanaians believe the AG can better fight corruption, only 16% believe the OSP can fight corruption better but 36% believe both can fight corruption while 13% said neither and 9% did not have an opinion,” the report stated.

However, the survey also reveals that there are concerns about the government’s performance in key areas.

Unemployment tops the list of concerns, with 44% of respondents citing it as a major issue, followed by the general economy (32%) and “dumsor” (29%).

“On the areas Ghanaians perceived the government as failing, the poll shows that the unemployment, general economy and “dumsor” top the list with 44% of respondents citing unemployment, general economy, 32% and Dumsor, 29%.”
