Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso, Dr. Stephen Amoah, has described a latest Global InfoAnalytics survey on MPs’ performance as “demotivating and dangerous”.
His comments follow the release of the survey, which ranked him among the lowest-performing MPs, scoring 23 percent and placing 78 out of the 83 Members of Parliament assessed.
The June 2026 survey assessed constituents’ perceptions of their MPs’ performance, revealing significant variations in public approval across the country.
Addressing journalists in Parliament on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, Dr. Amoah questioned the basis and methodology of the survey.
“I wonder what Mussa Dankwah, my own brother is depending own. This is very demotivating; this is very dangerous,” he stated.
The Nhyiaeso lawmaker argued that his performance in his constituency outweighs far more than what the poll ranked him for.
“I believe in myself that within 6 years and with the opportunity I had, what I have done, I don’t think you will get more than 10 MPs to do what I have done.
“So, Mr. Dankwah should come again because I find it very strange,” he said.
Stephen Amoah highlighted a number of projects and activities he had undertaken to develop his constituency and provide opportunities for his constituent.
“You go to Santasi market, I gave them about 100,000 cedis to do business, share and pay back without interest. Just about 40% paid and I left the rest.
“You go Atasumanso market, armed robbers were worrying them and I used my own money to provide security gates and other things.
“Through me, some of the youth got GRA, COCOBOD, Ghana Gas grants and some of them are in UK…I can’t believe what is happening,” the Legislator dismissed the claims of the survey.
He urged the Global InfoAnalytics team to revisit his constituency and redo their survey, saying “I think I cannot be rated as a low performer with all that I have done.
He added: “Dankwah Mussa’s team should go to the schools and ask the headmasters and the teachers what Sticka has been doing.”
