The Minister of Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, has disclosed that health workers would be deployed to various homes to provide indoor healthcare services for residents.

Speaking during a courtesy visit to the chief of Sefwi Boinzan in the Juaboso District of the Western North region, the Minister, Akandoh, disclosed that the initiative is aimed at providing healthcare for people who are unable to visit health facilities.

He explained that under the initiative, trained health personnel would also offer first aid treatment to patients in their homes, ensuring that residents receive timely medical attention while reducing unnecessary visits to hospitals.

According to the Minister, the programme forms part of the government’s commitment to strengthening primary healthcare delivery and improving access to quality healthcare services, especially in rural and underserved communities.

He assured residents that the initiative would help promote early detection and treatment of illnesses while easing the burden on health facilities across the country.

The chief of Sefwi Boinzan, Nana Ofori Ahenkan II, welcomed the announcement and expressed optimism that the programme would significantly improve healthcare delivery in the area.

He further appealed to the Minister who is also the MP for Juaboso to improve the CHPs compound in their community.
