Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye, the newly elected New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman for Greater Accra, has expressed his commitment to ensuring the party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, becomes Ghana’s President.
In a ‘Thank You’ message posted on his Facebook page on Sunday, August 16, 2026, following his election victory in the NPP Greater Accra Regional elections on Saturday, August 15, Dr. Okoe Boye said the support he received was a clear endorsement of his leadership.
He garnered 488 votes against his opponent who managed some 173 votes.
After thanking the constituency executives for their support and participation in the polls, the former Member of Parliament for Ledzokuku noted that his focus is to ensure the party’s fortunes are extended beyond Greater Accra to secure victory for Dr. Bawumia in the 2028 general elections to become President.
“Thank you for the trust, encouragement and commitment throughout this journey. We shall not rest until we make Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia President of the Republic of Ghana,” he posted.
