The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has extended the deadline for the submission of event proposals for the 2026 edition of December in GH.
Event organisers, promoters, cultural innova tors and experience creators now have until Monday, September 7, 2026, to submit their proposals for consideration for inclusion in Ghana’s premier festive season.
The 2026 December in GH calendar will run from December 1, 2026, to January 3, 2027, bringing together culture, creativity, entertainment, heritage and tourism experiences from across the country.
According to the GTA, the extension is intended to give organisers additional time to develop and submit concepts that showcase Ghana’s cultural diversity and creative energy.
December in GH continues to serve as a major platform for attracting visitors to Ghana during the festive season while encouraging Ghanaians to explore and experience the country’s rich cultural offerings.
As part of the Black Star Experience, the initiative has evolved beyond a calendar of events into a nationwide cultural journey, highlighting Ghana’s music, food, heritage, stories and creative expressions.
Events selected for the official December in GH 2026 programme will be integrated into the national campaign and promoted through the Ghana Tourism Authority’s local and international promotional platforms.
Interested event organisers are encouraged to submit their proposals by September 7, 2026.
