The National Chairman of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has left Accra for Seoul, South Korea, for an international political engagement.
He is attending the inaugural meeting of the Intercontinental Dialogue Among Political Parties at the invitation of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP).
The meeting is scheduled for September Monday, September 7, to Wednesday, September 9, 2026, in Seoul.
Asiedu Nketia left Accra on Saturday, September 6, 2026, and is expected to return to Ghana on September 12, 2026.
The NDC, in a statement issued on Sunday, September 6, and signed by its Director of Communications, Kakra Essamuah, said the National Vice Chairman, Chief Awudu Sofo Azorka, would act as National Chairman in his absence.
The three-day meeting will bring together political parties from Asia and other continents to promote dialogue and cooperation.
