A 17-year-old boy from Agona Swedru in the Central region is in a dilemma after his quest to seek ritual money turned around to haunt him.
According to the young man who appeared on Ms Nancy’s Confessions on TV3 Saturday, December 09, 2023, he recently completed junior high school and resides with his parents whose financial status he said wasn’t encouraging and decided to help.
He explains he consulted some friends whom he said lured him to see a spiritualist ‘Mallam’ to help him acquire wealth to supplement his family.
To make the spiritual money which is popularly referred as ‘Sakawa’, the young man said the Mallam gave him a pot after inciting some incantations with a guided ritual to perform at midnight.
He narrated he placed the pot under his bed as directed, only to wake up at midnight to find a huge python in his room.
The young man continued that “I screamed and my family came to my room to see what’s happening. I couldn’t utter a word so the next day, my mom took me to a pastor to pray for me and the pastor said I needed to be taken back to the Mallam before I can be free. My family and I went to the Mallam and to our surprise he wasn’t there. He came from Benin and I was told he has gone back to his country.”
When asked if the snake was still in his room, he responded in the affirmative, adding that “I don’t think I can go back to the room. I cannot sleep, I cannot learn. Miss Nancy, I need help.”
