The President, Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has promised jobs for the youth of Ada through Electrochem Ghana Limited, a subsidiary of the McDan Group of Companies.

The aforementioned company has been handed the Songor to mine the salt at Ada to open up employment opportunities for the youth.

Few minutes after the Member of Parliament for Ada East, Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe-Ghansah had stated that her constituents are in dire need of jobs, President Akufo-Addo asked them not to lose hope.

The MP’s lamentations for lack of jobs and the president’s assurance both occurred at the grand durbar of the 2022 Asafotufiami festival celebrated by the people of Ada.

During her speech, the MP, Mrs. Cudjoe-Ghansah reminded the government of its numerous promises to the constituents but yet nothing to show for.

She, however, assured the constituents of pushing through leadership to ameliorate the plight they’re going through.

In his response, President Akufo-Addo, whose speech was read on his behalf by a leading member of the NPP and former Information Minister, Florence Oboshie Sai-Cofie, assured the residents of government’s readiness to provide them jobs through the enterprise of Electrochem Ghana Limited.
