Captain Smart has disclosed why he can never forget his former late colleague, Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong a.k.a. KABA, then host of Asempa FM’s ‘Ekosii Sɛn.’
The vociferous broadcaster has always said a question posed by KABA to President Akufo-Addo at a press meeting with the media will forever resonate on his mind as long as things remain unchanged in this administration.
KABA had asked if the presidency had tamed Mr. Akufo-Addo at a 2017 presidential encounter with the media. Many insulted him for wasting an opportunity as a journalist to ask the president a question.
During his rants Wednesday, October 5, 2022, Captain Smart noted “Akufo-Addo has no balls” to crack his whip on those messing up in his administration.
This, Captain Smart says is the reason late KABA’s question remain one of the most important questions ever posed to this president.
Following Onua TV/Akoma FM’s Peoples’ Assembly at the GNAT Hall in Kumasi, many issues including abandoned road projects, sharing of some government funds to market women without their leaders’ knowledge and taking centre stage among the issues, galamsey emerged.
President Akufo-Addo is visiting the region to meet his appointees on the state of affairs in there. But Captain Smart asserts until he oust Wontumi like he did to Afoko, Kwabena Agyapong and others, he can never win the galamsey fight.
“There is only one media house in this country that can go to the Ashanti region and in less than a week, the president has to go there. Because the issues popping up are many. But Nana Addo, sack Wontumi before you can fight galamsey. Until you sack him, you can never fight galamsey,” he said.
Chairman Wontumi according to Captain Smart has destroyed 3 forests but cannot be stopped because he claims the president is in his pocket.
“Wontumi has destroyed 3 forests in Ashanti Region and Nana Addo is aware. Sir John warned Wontumi before dying but he still won his election as Chairman of the party. Wontumi says Nana Addo is in his pocket that’s why he is still doing galamsey and they can’t stop him,” he said.
