Odododiodio Member of Parliament, Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye has described President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as the worst President Ghana has had in the Fourth Republic’s history.
The MP says the President has supervised affairs that have plummeted the economy to subject Ghanaians into the hardship they are going through now.
According to him, it would be better Akufo-Addo apologised to the citizenry for the woeful disappointment given to Ghanaians after entrusting their sovereignty in him.
The lawmaker’s comments, made on Accra-based Citi FM Tuesday, May 07, 2024, was in reaction to the President’s call on Ghanaians to retain the New Patriotic Party in the upcoming elections.
The President had noted that voting back the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to power, would jeopardise the gains his administration has made and endanger Ghana’s future.
But the Odododiodio legislator thinks the President has nothing to be remembered for but rather as the most disappointing President in history.
“…If I were Nana Addo, the best thing I would do as a person is to apologise to the millions of Ghanaians who voted for me and whom I have hugely disappointed. Nana Addo will go into history as the worst president ever in the fourth republic of this country. Worst President ever because he is the most corrupt president in our history.”
“He is the one who has collapsed our economy. Ghana’s economy today is worse than at any time in our history. Is that the legacy he is talking about? Of course, John Mahama will come and correct all,” he stated.
