Veteran football administrator Alhaji Karim Grunsah has named Dr Randy Abbey and Moses Armah Parker as the only members who are capable of delivering on the job.

The rest, he says, have nothing to offer though he will give some of them the benefit of the doubt.

Speaking on Onua Sports Center on Onua FM 95.MHz on Thursday, February 6, the King Faisal Babes bankroller said the Chairman of the Committee, Dr Abbey, is so experienced especially from his days at Hearts of Oak.

“When he was at Hearts, he didn’t like defeat. That was where he made his name,” he told host Alfred Takyi-Mensah.

“When he joined the Ghana Football Association, he states his mind as it is because he has it all.”

Alhaji Grunsah noted how the former GFA Spokesperson steered Heart of Lions from being relegated in the Ghana Premier League – when he took over ownership – to becoming title contenders.

He was also full of praise for the Medeama SC Chief Executive Officer, Moses Armah Parker.

“So, these two are exceptional,” he insisted.

He said former Captain Stephen Appiah, who is the Vice Chairman of the Committee, was a committed player but betrayed the former management committee by withdrawing and failing to attend a single meeting.

For FC Samartex President Dr Richard Nsenkyire, Alhaji Grunsah said winning the GPL is not a guarantee of becoming successful at management, especially in the case of the Samreboi-based club who only won their home games.

“Is this a proper league that you can’t win away but only your home games? I can only give him a benefit of the doubt because I don’t know what he has done in addition to that.

“I was in the same zone with him in Division One and he knows me and I know him. What he has to know is that the Black Stars is not that you can intimidate opponents with your supporters.”

For Samuel Aboabire, the Greater Accra Regional FA Chairman, Alhaji Grunsah did not mince words: “He can’t do anything. He is my kid.”

The new committee was announced last month as part of changes to ensure that the Black Stars return to winning ways.
