Kwaku Kyei Baffour, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Bekwai, could not hold back a loud tearing cry at the death of an 18-year-old lady at Anwiankwanta in the Ashanti region.

The lady was allegedly raped and murdered at Anwiankwanta.

In a telephone interview on Ghanakoma morning show on Akoma 87.9FM with Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin, Mr. Kyei Baffour could not control his tears when he recounted her daughter’s incident while commenting on the recent murder that occurred in the municipality.

The MCE whose daughter was found dead in her home at Bebu in the Ashanti region about two months ago was sad about the turn of events, regarding the rise in insecurity in the area.

He expressed his condolences to the family of the young lady who was allegedly raped and murdered by some unknown assailants in the area.

The lady, identified as Georgina, was an apprentice learning hairdressing. She did not return home after going to work on Friday, September 15, 2023. On the morning of Saturday, her dead body was discovered in a position depicting she was raped.

Eyewitnesses saw blood oozing from her genitals.

Commenting on the issue, the MCE whose daughter was shot about two months ago could not control his tears.

He pointed out that the Municipal Security Council would be meeting on the increasing insecurity in the area.

“As I’m speaking with you my daughter’s autopsy report is on my bed. I’m really sad about the current situation,” he stated.
