Aspiring parliamentary candidate (PC) for the NDC in the Jomoro constituency says his constituents would vote skirt and blouse in the 2024 elections should the delegates of the NDC refuse to give him the nod.

Francis Kwaido Akatia said the constituents believe he is the only one who can redeem them, therefore urging the delegates to consider him as their parliamentary candidate come May 13.

Mr. Akatia made the observations in an interview with Onua TV.

This is the third time Mr. Akatia is contesting the primaries. He placed second to the incumbent MP, Dorcas Affo-Toffey, in the last internal elections.

On the calls by the constituents that the incumbent MP,  Dorcas Affo-Toffey has suffered and must be given another chance, Mr. Akatia explained that her court case was self inflicted.

He explained that her documentations brought that suit and cannot be described as suffering for the party.

According to him, after touring the entire constituency, the people are saying they vote for John Mahama and an NPP candidate if delegates do not hand him the PC ticket on May 13.

On suffering for the party, he indicated he has suffered that fate more than any other person in the constituency for the several years he has served the party, also accusing the MP for denying the constituents the needed development they deserve.
