A leading member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Emmanuel Osei Gyamfi, has accused Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia of destroying and bringing divisions in the party.

Mr. Osei Gyamfi, who is also a Leadership, Business and Communication Consultant, alleged that the Vice President and his followers have been flouting the party’s code of conduct with impunity without any action taken against them even though the consequences of such breaches are clearly spelt in their code of conduct.

Speaking on Ghanakoma evening political show on Akoma 87.9FM, Mr Osei Gyamfi described Dr Bawumia as a desperate politician seeking power.

”His actions and inactions show that , he is desperate to win the NPP primaries’,’ he told host Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin.

He also described as “shamful, sad and disgrace” to the party, the 87 NPP MPs who accompanied the Vice President to the Manhyia Palace on Sunday.

He called on the leadership of the party to take a look at the current happenings within the party, insisting that it was time they crack the whip fairly.

Talking about the potential danger the development could have on the NPPs chances of winning the next general elections, he asked that all forms of unofficial campaign for the Vice President be ceased.
