The Member of Parliament for Lambussie in Upper West region, Bright Bakye Yelviel Baligi, has hit on Vice-President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for failing the people of the northern part of the country.
Speaking on GhanaAkoma morning show with Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin on AkomaFM, Mr. Baligi debunked media reports that the Vice-President has contributed towards the development of the north.
Lawmaker Baligi is in the Ashanti region to support the campaign tour of Alan Kyerematen’s presidential ambition.
According to him, the entire Northern region cannot point out any legacy of Dr Bawumia, an indigene of the area, saying he cannot lead the NPP to victory in 2024.
He expressed his admiration for presidential hopeful Alan Kyerematen, praising his commitment to progress and unity in the NPP.
He says he believes Alan is the right candidate to lead the NPP to victory in the 2024 general elections.
Indicating that he is privileged to be part of the Alan team, he stated that most NPP MPs fear to publicly declare their support for Alan.
According to him, the MPs fear they will lose their seats if they openly support Alan Kyerematen’s presidential ambition.
He called on the NPP delegates in the Ashanti region to support their own to lead the party to victory in 2024.
