Former Trade and Industry minister, Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen received a rousing welcome when he got to Obuasi as part of his campaign tour of the Ashanti region.

A deafening cheers; a charged crowd all delegates mobbed Mr. Kyerematen, who is now vying to lead the New Patriotic Party into the 2024 general elections.

Known in the political circles as ‘Alan Cash’, the calm looking man with whose face appeared teary was perhaps overwhelmed by the support for him.

“He has suffered enough, it is his time to lead the NPP and win for us that historic feat of breaking the eight”, a mantra which many believe will be a daunting task but with the right person, hope is just another milestone.
