Former Member of Parliament for Manhyia North, Collins Owusu Amankwah has taken a swipe at the Managing Editor of Daily Dispatch Newspaper, Ben Ephson desrcibing him as “attention seeker who lacks credibility.”

According to the MP who doubles as the Field Commander of Alan Kyerematen’s campaign in the Ashanti region, he was saddened to hear Mr. Ephson saying Mr. Kyeremateng’s popularity is diminishing.

Speaking on GhanaAkoma evening political show on Akoma 87.9FM in Kumasi Wednesday,  April 12, 2023, Mr Owusu Amankwah, the MP, described Ben Ephson as an armed chair election pollster in the country.

He called on the public to disregard comments by Mr. Ephson on Alan Kyerematen.

He went ahead to warn Mr Ephson saying “stop the wrong accusations because I have observed over time your ill-public utterances directed to dent the reputation of the former Former Trade and Industry Minister.”

“……I expect Ben Ephson to know better since his work has to do with gathering of valid and accurate information before making any public pronouncement, but due to the hatred he has for Alan campaign, he drops anything negative that comes up in his head against Ghana’s only political and developmental gem, Hon Alan,” he told Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin, host of the show.

He said the upcoming NPP presidential primary is about competencies, credibility and others, making him surprise about what Mr Ephson made on Allan popularity..

He expressed a strong optimism of Mr. Kyerematen becoming flagbearer of the NPP “no matter the machinations and tactics” that would come against him.

He also expressed hope in the NPP following their tradition of rewarding ‘loyalty’.
