Vice President and flag bearer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has asked Ghanaians to give him the opportunity to serve as President.
This, he says, is because he has passed his role as Vice President having implemented 33 things the former President and flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, cannot boast of same.
According to him, he is the best Vice President Ghana has ever had. Dr. Bawumia was speaking at a stakeholder engagement at Kasoa Odekro’s Palace as part of his tour to the Awutu Senya East constituency Monday, September 02, 2024.
Dr. Bawumia indicated that although he served as Vice President, his achievements outweigh that of John Mahama who has served both as President and Vice President.
Dr Bawumia urged Ghanaians to support his bid for the presidency, promising to be a “brand new tear rubber” leader for the nation.
“I have implemented 33 different policies as Vice President. The former President cannot point to one. He does not have one as Vice President. There is none. I can point to them.
“So, it means that I have passed the job as a Vice President. So, vote for me so I become President.”
“I am a Vice President so if you vote for me, you will get a brand-new tear rubber President. When you vote for the former president, you will get home used secondhand President,” he stated.
