Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President and flag bearer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), has said that voting for him will present “a brand-new tear rubber President ” to Ghanaians.
But, voting for John Dramani Mahama, will only give the citizenry a secondhand President who has nothing new to offer.
According to him, what he will offer as someone who has never been President before, considering his achievements as Vice President, is non-comparable to what John will provide as a “home used secondhand President.”
Speaking at a stakeholder engagement at Kasoa Odekro’s Palace as part of his tour to the Awutu Senya East constituency Monday, September 02, 2024, Dr. Bawumia urged the public to vote for him to become President after diligently serving as Vice President.
This, he says, is because he has passed his role as President Akufo-Addo’s deputy, having implemented 33 things the former President and flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, cannot boast of same.
According to him, he is the best Vice President Ghana has ever had.
Dr. Bawumia indicated that although he served as Vice President, his achievements outweigh that of John Mahama who has served both as President and Vice President.
“I have implemented 33 different policies as Vice President. The former President cannot point to one. He does not have one as Vice President. There is none. I can point to them.
“So, it means that I have passed the job as a Vice President. So, vote for me so I become President.”
“I am a Vice President so if you vote for me, you will get a brand-new tear rubber President. When you vote for the former president, you will get home used secondhand President,” he stated.
