The Regional Delegates elections of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has been called off in the Ashanti Region.

This follows a disagreement over the fate of TEIN delegates –the tertiary students wing of the NDC –who were restrained by a court from voting.

Nurudeen Hamidan, Chairman of the Election Committee in the Region says the party hierarchy is meeting the candidates to resolve the matter tomorrow, Saturday, November 12, 2022.

OnuaOnline sources say one of the candidates for the Youth Organiser slot sought the injunction to prevent the TEIN members from partaking in the polls.

Meanwhile, the charged students were captured at the Republic Hall where the polls were being held, crucifying their National Youth Organiser, Pablo, in a morale song usually sang by Unity and University (Katanga) Halls during their processions, “Mo ntwa ne ti, Pablo ɔyɛ odwan” to wit cut off his head, Pablo is a sheep.
