Vice President Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has urged Ghanaian entrepreneurs to tailor their ideas to businesses that reflect Ghanaian ingenuity.

She is admonishing entrepreneurs to tap into local resources, expertise, and creativity to drive sustainable development.

By focusing on Ghanaian ingenuity, entrepreneurs can unlock the country’s potential by developing innovative solutions that address local challenges, create jobs, and stimulate economic growth.

She made the call in a Facebook post Sunday, September 28, 2025, following her visit to the 2025 Ghana Garden and Flower Show hosted at the Efua Sutherland Park in Accra.

She posted: “It was wonderful to see the varieties of plants, flowers, and locally produced commodities proudly showcased by Ghanaian farmers and entrepreneurs.”

The Vice President added that “this exhibition is a beautiful celebration of creativity, sustainability, and the potential of our agricultural and creative sectors.”

“I encourage our upcoming entrepreneurs to take inspiration from the Ghana Garden and Flower Movement and build businesses that reflect Ghanaian ingenuity,” she admonished.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang also seeks to promote diverse perspectives and ideas, leading to more inclusive and sustainable development outcomes aimed to reduce the country’s dependence on foreign aid and promote self-sufficiency.
