Comments made by the US Ambassador to His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, indicts President Akufo-Addo as a kingpin in the illegal mining aka ‘galamsey’ business, Captain Smart has said.
According to Mr. Smart, Virginia Palmer did not mince words when she said only the illegal miners are arrested where the powerful forces are left behind.
These powerful forces are the ones causing the real havoc to the environment according to the Ambassador.
“I think the galamseys themselves are not active in doing it because the powers behind them are the evils,” she told Otumfuo.
Making his deductions Tuesday, October 18, 2022, Captain Smart indicated there could be no other powerful force in the country supporting the mence than President Akufo-Addo who is behind Wontumi, Senior Advisor Osafo-Maafo who supports, shields and protects Aisha Huang and a host of other top government officials backing those indulging in the act.
