Captain Smart has lauded the Nungua traditional authority for calling out persons who own properties at Trasacco Valley estates (Phase I, II &III) “forthwith to formally engage the Nungua Stool secretariat to atone tenancy or risk losing their respective properties to the Stool.”

Following the coming into public of a will belong to former Chief Executive of the Lands Commission, the Late Kwadwo Owsusu Afriyie a.k.a Sir John willing portions of the Achimota Forest reserve to his relatives, Captain Smart has been calling on Ga chiefs to take the courage to reclaim all lands belonging to them before becoming strangers on their fatherland.

He said lands taken from the Ga chiefs by government which have not been used for the intended purposes were being sold to government officials and other powerful private entities at the expense of the Gas who are custodians of the land.

Appreciating the enormity of the development, Captain Smart had said Ga chiefs might have to secure lands from non Gas to construct their palaces in future if the trend remains same.

His rants followed some leaked documents which spelt how cheap politicians and other influential persons have purchased lands taken from the chiefs for state use.

Speaking on Onua TV/FM’s Maakye on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, he professed his support for the chiefs saying they should take back every land that belongs to them.

“Nungua chiefs, it is good you’re taking back your lands. I support you. But don’t go beyond the limit the Supreme Court has given you,” he said.
