Villarreal raid

Chelsea are reportedly turning their attention to Villarreal forward Yeremy Pino after missing out on Michael Olise.

According to Simon Phillips, the Blues have identified the former Arsenal and Tottenham target as their new attacking target. The journalist wrote in his column that he has been told by three different sources that the interest is genuine.

Pino, who played with Nicolas Jackson at Villarreal, is highly-rated in Spain having graduated from their academy. However, having only signed a new deal in 2021, he could cost close to £68million.

According to French outlet L’Équipe, the Blues are keen on the Belgian despite Manchester City leading the race for the 21-year-old, who is wanted to replace Riyad Mahrez for the Premier League champions.

The report from France claims Rennes would be willing to offload Doku for around €60million (£51.4million) this summer.

Chelsea’s hopes of signing Ajax star Mohammed Kudus have received a boost after West Ham saw their first bid for the playmaker turned down.

According to The Athletic, the Hammers’ bid fell below Ajax’s valuation of the 23-year-old, despite technical director Tim Steidten flying to Amsterdam in an attempt to secure a deal.

Brighton are said to have agreed a deal in principle with the Eredivisie side, but are yet to agree personal terms.

And whilst teams away from Stamford Bridge fail to complete a deal, Chelsea will remain interested.
