Some feuding factions have injuncted the 14th Quadrilateral National Delegate’s Conference which was to be held in Cape Coast, calling the event off.

Some 7 members contesting for various positions in the association could not come to terms with certain developments making them halt the conference which which was to take place between Thursday, January 6, 2023 to January 7, on Saturday.

The conference at the Day 1 on Thursday, began with the Employment and Labour Relations minister, Ignatius Baffour Awuah, wishing CLOGSAG well and assuring them of government’s readiness to always help resolve their challenges.

He represented the President of the Republic, Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Central Regional Minister, Justin Marigold Assan, appealed to the Trades Union Congress (TUC) to factor in the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the economy in their negotiations with the government.

Meanwhile, Executive Secretary of CLOGSAG, Dr. Isaac Bampoe has confirmed to Onua News’s Kwame Kakraba that they received the injunction on Friday when the election was supposed to be held.

“This Friday morning we had a meeting with the Central Regional Police Commander and his other security agencies and were advised that based upon security reasons, we should call off the congress and go back to our regions,” the Executive Secretary disclosed.

OnuaOnline sighted the injunction which was filled at the Supreme Court in Accra by Abraham Allotey and (6) six others.
