Ghana’s Dreams FC would have to scale over Egyptian giants Zamalek in the penultimate stage of the CAF Confederation Cup in order to play in a dream final.

Abdul Karim Zito’s side made a semi-final berth on Sunday, April 7 after beating Stade Malien de Bamako 3-2 on aggregate in the quarterfinals.

A shocking 2-1 away win

and a 1-1 draw at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday ensured that the MTN FA Cup champions become the first Ghanaian side since Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak in 2005 to reach the semi-finals.

With the qualification, Dreams FC are scheduled to face 2019 champions Zamalek next.

The White Knights also beat compatriots Modern Future 3-2 on aggregate to reach the semis.

The first leg of the semi-final clash is scheduled to be played at the Cairo International Stadium on Sunday, April 21 before the second leg at Baba Yara Sports Stadium exactly a week later.

The winner after the two legs will play either defending champions USM Algers of Algeria or two-time champions RS Berkane of Morocco.
