A former Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Koku Sitsofe Anyidoho, is questioning why the flag bearer of the party did not participate in the protest organised by the party against the EC.
The National Democratic Congress on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, staged a peaceful walk against the Electoral Commission for its failure to conduct a forensic audit into the voters’ register.
This was after the party had identified some anomalies it describes as a bloat, following the illegal transfer of persons from their polling centres without their knowledge.
The development, is what the NDC termed as a means by the Commission to rig the upcoming polls in favour of the ruling party.
In a response given to the party by the EC, it said involving a third party for a forensic audit was not the solution.
At the demonstration Tuesday, leadership of the party presented a petition to the EC’s headquarters as well as all the regional offices across the country.
With the presence of the National Chairman of the party, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, National Communications Officer Sammy Gyamfi, and a host of other executives who joined the trail in the various regions, Mr. Anyidoho is questioning the absence of the flag bearer having not appeared in any of the scenes captured during the protest.
In a post made on X Wednesday, September 18, 2024, he questioned why neither the former President nor his children participate in the demonstration.
So, after inciting NDC supporters onto the streets, JM and his family stayed at home huh? The monkeys π΅ should go and die for the baboons to stay alive and walk on blood π©Έ to power huh? We live to see. Ghana π¬π shall NOT die ππππππ
