Football’s world-governing body FIFA has confirmed Ghana as through to the Round of 32 of the ongoing World Cup.

Ghana were confirmed on Friday, June 26 among five other countries including England.

This followed the 1-0 win of Spain over Uruguay and the goalless draw between Cape Verde and Saudi Arabia, results that saw Uruguay placing third in Group H with 2 points.

That meant all teams with four points are guaranteed a place in the Round of 32.

The other teams confirmed alongside the Black Stars and the Three Lions are Paraguay, Egypt and Portugal, who could come up against Ghana in the Round of 32.

The game against Croatia on Saturday will now determine the position of the Black Stars in Group L.

That position will determine the path the team takes through the knock-out round, which starts on Sunday with South Africa-Canada.
