The Wood Market at Kwadaso, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti region, has been ravaged by fire few days after the Kantamanto market in Accra suffered same.
TV3’s William Evans-Nkum reported that an eyewitness, Adam, said “the fire started around 5pm (Saturday, January 04, 2025) from one of the sheds and spread to the rest.”
Two tenders with about ten fire fighters were sent to the scene to douse the fire with some locals are also assisting, while victims attempt to salvage few wares from the debris.
