Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service stations at Madina and Abelenkpe Tuesday night doused a fierce flame at the Burkina Market near the post office at Taifa.
According to eyewitnesses, the personnel arrived on time to help quench the fire.
It involved several single rooms and some chamber and halls.
Even though some properties were destroyed, the swift intervention of the personnel prevented further damages.
The cause of the fire has not been established yet.
