Hearts of Oak have been held to a 2-2 draw by champions Bibiani Goldstars on Matchday 7 of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League.
A first-half own goal conceded by the Miners from a Mawuli Wayo cross was cancelled early in the second half by perennial scorer Samuel Atta Kumi.
Atta Kumi, whose goal was the first to beat Black Stars goalie Benjamin Asare this season, doubled the lead for his side with a sublime finish from a counter attack at the Accra Sports Stadium.
With defeat staring his team in the face, coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani reacted with three major substitutions including George Paaku replacing Prince Kwabena Owusu.
This resulted in the equaliser for Hearts of Oak as Paaku connected to a cross from Ransford Mensah with a towering header.
With the spoils shared, both Hearts of Oak and Bibiani Goldstars stay on the same points (13) but the champions with a superior goal difference.
They are fourth on the log while the Phobians are sixth.
Hearts of Oak’s next game will be away to Basake Holy Stars while the Miners return home to await Young Apostles on Matchday 8.
