Former Black Stars defender Samuel Inkoom has dismissed reports that he has retired from playing football.

He says he still trains actively and will not pass up any opportunity to play, even if it is in the Ghana Premier League.

The former FC Basel player made this known in an exclusive interview on Maakye Sports on Onua TV on Friday, April 19.

“I have not retired from active football,” he told hosts Alfred Takyi Mensah and Isaac Ansah Apagya.

“You would have heard it if I had. I am just on break. I train and I play.”

Inkoom, then, made it known that he will not mind relaunching his career abroad just like he did years back.

The 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup winner is currently managing S-Inkoom Football Management Agency, which unearths young talents between the ages of 17 and 21.

After playing for Asante Kotoko and Sekondi Hasaacas, Inkoom left the shores of Ghana for the Swiss League.

He sojourned in a number of European countries including France, Ukraine, Portugal, Turkey, Bulgaria, Georgia and Greece, before returning to Ghana to sign for Hearts of Oak, the last professional side he played for.
