The Onua Maakye train has landed at Madina Friday morning, June 16, 2023, to engage residents and traders alike on issues pertaining to their wellbeing.
With a strategic set up on the Access lane at the Zongo junction right under the footbridge, the event will allow passers-by, traders, pedestrians across the other end of the street and even drivers and passengers who would be stuck in traffic at a point to have a taste of it before heading on to their destinations.
The Peoples’ Assembly, a side shoot of Onua Maakye is an extended version of the morning show that’s transmitted live from a chosen community to offer residents the opportunity to directly engage government through representatives from the local assembly on their pressing needs and challenges.
The entire morning show, except for the news segment is coming live from Madina with host Captain Smart and his co-hosts, Regina Yaa Titi-Okrah, Afia Tagor and Isaac Ansah Apagya presenting the sports session with Solomon Amankwah and Alfred Takyi Mensah till the show ends on midday.
Taking centre at the discussions today will be issues spanning from socio-economic, trade and commerce, governance as well as politics.
