Several persons are feared dead in a car accident on the Kpong – Tema road in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality of the Eastern region.
Two who are said to have survived are receiving care at the Akuse Government Hospital.
The accident on Saturday, March 25 involved a Hyundai Mini Bus with registration number GB 4644-20 and an articulated truck with registration number GT 6473-21.

An eye witness said the Hyundai mini-bus driver ran into a stationary Kia Grand Bird Bus with Registration number GW 6464-22 before veering off the road to hit the articulated truck.
The Hyundai Mini Bus Driver was from Juapong to Tema whiles the truck was carrying pavement blocks from Tema, heading towards Akosombo.
Personnel from the Akuse Police Command, Ghana National Fire Service and National Ambulance Service were at the scene to help with rescue efforts.

The bodies have been deposited at the Akuse Government Hospital morgue.
