Ghanaian champions Medeama SC have confirmed Bosnian Nebojsa Kapor as their new Head Coach.

The 37-year-old tactician takes over from Evans Augustine Adotey, who returns to his role as the Technical Director of the club.

Medeama SC confirmed the appointment of Nebojsa Kapor on Wednesday, December 27.

It is a one-year deal with a two-year option for renewal.

The former Tema Youth coach expressed happiness to be in charge of the Ghana Premier League champions.

They will host champions Al Ahly in Kumasi before travelling to Algeria to play CR Belouizdad.

The new coach says he is “determined to continue from where Mr. Adotey has steered this club beautifully”.

“He’s done a great job and deserves a pat on the shoulder.

“But it’s time for another hand to continue from where he left of in our pursuit to achieve excellence. I have a fair idea of the kind of talents at the club and we hope to do our best to make it count.

“We can and we’ll challenge for trophies this season. We have few games to cover up to the numbers of the teams on top of the table and so we’ll see how it goes.”

Nebojsa Kapor also coaches Bechem United in the Ghana Premier League.
