Medeama SC owner Moses Armah says the club has given TP Mazembe the best possible reception despite delays surrounding the Congolese side’s arrangements, as the Yellow and Mauves prepare for Sunday’s CAF Champions League clash.
The Medeama SC owner says the club is fully prepared to host TP Mazembe in Sunday’s CAF Champions League preliminary-round first-leg encounter in Tarkwa.
According to Mr Armah, Medeama have ensured that the Congolese giants received the best of reception despite some delays with their arrangements ahead of the much-anticipated fixture.
“We have given TP Mazembe the best of reception,” Mr Armah said, stressing his side’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and successful continental experience for their opponents.
With the historic encounter fast approaching, the Medeama owner has also called on supporters to turn up in their numbers and help the club create history.
Tarkwa will host a CAF inter-club competition match for the first time, and Mr Armah believes the supporters have a crucial role to play in making the occasion memorable.
He is, however, refusing to predict the outcome of the game, insisting the team’s focus is on producing a strong performance and scoring goals.
“I won’t predict the result, but we want more goals on Sunday,” he said.
Medeama head into the encounter after an encouraging pre-season, while TP Mazembe bring significant continental experience to what promises to be a highly competitive tie.
Mr Armah is hopeful that with the backing of the supporters, Medeama can make a strong statement and begin their CAF Champions League campaign on a positive note.
