The Member of Parliament for Afigya Kwabre North, Collins Adomako-Mensah, has thrown his weight behind Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah (COKA) in the race for Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, saying he is the best bet for the party in the region.

“COKA is our best bet to help rebuild the party in our stronghold after the 2024 elections. There is a lot of tension in the region, and he is the man to calm things down”, he said.

Speaking during a meeting with Offinso South Constituency executives in Offinso on Friday, July 31, 2026, during a “Hope Tour”, Mr Adomako-Mensah, said COKA contributed to his political rise, hence he is the best person to revive the party in the Ashanti Region.

He described COKA as a strong candidate and pledged his support.

The endorsement is expected to heighten competition ahead of the NPP’s internal elections.

He described COKA’s campaign team as a “solid team” capable of driving a strong campaign ahead of the party’s regional elections.

He said COKA is a decisive leader who consults wisely and talks with people with respect.

“This is evidence based”, he is a decisive leader, he seeks the opinion of others and he is ready to work with anybody with respect “, he stated.

The MP revealed that, he is mobilising support for a landslide in the regional election and appealed to NPP delegates in Ashanti Region to vote massively for him.

“I am pushing for a massive vote for him. And so I appeal to you all to vote massively for COKA to lead us in Ashanti Region,” he said.

Mr Adomako-Mensah, described COKA as a focused and decisive leader committed to strengthening the NPP in Ashanti Region.

COKA served as Afigya Kwabre South Constituency Chairman before declaring his bid for the Ashanti Regional NPP chairmanship.

He has been touring constituencies across the region to campaign for support ahead of the party’s regional elections on 15th August,2026.
