The Interior minister, Ambrose Dery, has renewed the curfew hours for residents of Saboba and its environs in the Northern region through an Executive Instrument.

A Monday, June 7, 2023 statement issued by the ministry states the new hours start from 10:00pm to 4:00am effective today.

The statement further urged stakeholders in the communities to channel their energies towards ensuring peace in the area.

He urged the chiefs, opinion leaders, elders, the youth and everybody to exercise restraint in dealing with the prevailing challenges by adopting non-violent approach in tackling the situation.

“Meanwhile, there is a total ban on all persons in the afore-mentioned communities and its environs from carrying arms, ammunition or any offensive weapon and any persons found with any arms or ammunition will be arrested and prosecuted,” portions of the statement indicated.
