Branch Executives and Ward Coordinators of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Manhyia South constituency have threatened to place an injunction on the May 13 NDC primaries in the Ashanti region.

The 452 NDC delegates in the constituency will not take part in the Saturday parliamentary and presidential primaries owing to some internal issues.

The aggrieved party members have issued a 48-hour ultimatum to the National Executives Committee to uplift the suspension that will deny them from partaking in the primaries or face their wrath.

Addressing the media, CPC Krofrom Ward Coordinator and convenor, Yaw Appiah said they may be forced to injunct the primaries if their concern is not addressed.

“We, the leaders of all the branches, would like to inform the National Executives Committee and Functional Executives Committee to remove the suspension of branch executives that bars these delegates to partake in the 13th May primaries within 48 hours. Failure to do so will leave us with no option than to seek legal redress. We will secure court injunction”.
