Ashanti regional women organisers of the NDC have refuted claims that they have thrown their support for Dr. Kwabena Duffour.
The women leadership of the opposition National Democratic Congress have distanced themselves from their leader’s claim that, the party’s women wing are in bed with the former Governor of the Bank of Ghana.

Gloria Huze, the Ashanti Regional women’s organiser of the NDC is alleged to have claimed that, women in the party contributed in buying Dr Duffour’s forms on Thursday.
Madam Huze who was praised by Dr Duffour for coming out boldly to support his campaign bid also lauded her for picking his form for him.
At a press conference at the regional party office on Friday, Deputy Women’s Organiser of the NDC, Phylis Manassian said Gloria Huze took a unilateral decision without the consent of any of them.
“Yesterday at the party’s headquarters when she picked a nomination form for Dr Kwabena Duffour, Madam Gloria Huze alleged that it is the Ashanti regional women’s wing that has contributed money and delegated her to pick a nomination form for Dr Kwabena Duffour to contest in the upcoming presidential primaries of the NDC. This unfortunate allegation is nothing but wicked lies” she told the media.
