The Bosomtwe Constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has overwhelmingly endorsed its Member of Parliament and former Education Minister, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, in the party’s flagbearer elections.
Dr. Adutwum secured a massive 502 votes, emerging as the clear winner in the constituency and outperforming all other aspirants by a wide margin.
The full results from the Bosomtwe polling station are as follows:
Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum – 502 votes
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia – 230 votes
Kennedy Agyapong – 143 votes
Bryan Acheampong – 96 votes
Kwabena Agyei Agyapong – 0 votes
Out of a total of 1,042 accredited delegates, 971 cast their ballots, while 71 delegates were absent.
Party executives and supporters in Bosomtwe say the results reflect the constituency’s confidence in Dr. Adutwum’s leadership and performance, both as a legislator and a former minister.
