The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) has officially acknowledged decisions issued by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Disciplinary Jury on 28 January 2026, announcing its acceptance of the sanctions imposed.
In a statement released on Saturday, January 31, the FSF declared it will not appeal the sporting and financial penalties levied against the federation.
The decision also covers individual disciplinary measures affecting the national team coach Pape Bouna Thiaw and players Ismaila Sarr and Iliman Cheikh Baroy Ndiaye.
Citing Article 91.4 of the CAF Disciplinary Code, the FSF confirmed it will assume full financial responsibility for the fines related to the association, its technical staff and players.
The Federation reaffirmed its commitment to defending its rights and interests within football governing bodies while pledging to act in strict accordance with statutory obligations.
It emphasized its dedication to upholding CAF regulations, preserving the integrity of the game and promoting African football.
The communiqué was issued by the FSF General Secretariat in Dakar.
