Disgruntled four-time NPP member of Parliament for Ejisu, Kwabena Owusu Aduomi, would not contest as an independent candidate in the December parliamentary elections, his camp, has confirmed.

A crunch meeting between the Ashanti Regional Council of Elders in Kumasi ended with the aggrieved former lawmaker return to his mother party.

A statement issued on August 06, 2024, confirmed the talks “Engineer Owusu Aduomi, respectfully responded to overtures made by the Council of Elders and honoured an invitation by the Council aimed at getting him back into the fold.”

The camp of Kwabena Owusu Aduomi also confirmed that the “meeting was successful.”

The former Deputy Roads and Highways minister contested as an independent candidate in the April by-election in Ejisu, following the death of the former MP, Dr. John Ampontuah Kumah.
