The police have arrested one Seidu Musah, popularly known as Gaswan, over Sunday’s attack on Nsoatreman FC by fans of Bofoakwa Tano FC.

He is currently in police custody assisting in investigations.

Gaswan was one of two suspects on police wanted list after the incident on Sunday.

He is expected to help in efforts to arrest the other suspect “to face justice and we will surely get him”.

The attack left Nsoatreman FC coach Maxwell Konadu unconscious and he was rushed to the Sunyani Teaching Hospital, where he was treated and discharged the following day.

Management of Bofoakwa Tano FC condemned the incident and pledged support to the police, Nsoatreman FC and all stakeholders in any efforts to get the perpetrators to book.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) on Monday invoked Article 14(3) of the GFA Premier League Regulations to slap a temporary ban on Bofoakwa Tano FC.
