Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak have moved their home games to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Onua Sports has gathered.

This follows the closure of the Accra Sports Stadium by managers.

As a result, the much-anticipated Ghana Premier League game between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko, originally scheduled for Accra on Friday, December 8, will be played in Kumasi.

The Accra Sports Stadium has been shut down due to events in the upcoming Christmas period for which it has been rented out to event organisers

A board member of Hearts of Oak, Alhaji Brimah Moro Akambi, confirmed to Onua Sports on Monday, November 20 that Hearts of Oak will play at least their home games this year at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The 21-time Ghana Premier League champions will, however, consider other venues after 2023.

Hearts are currently 14th on the log with 12 points.

On Tuesday, November 14, the club announced a decision to part ways with coach Martinus Koopman.

Assistant Abdul Rahim Bashiru was charged to handle the club until a permanent appointment is made.
