Black Stars Head Coach Otto Addo could make it two out of two in qualification for a FIFA World Cup as he heads into the final qualifiers for the 2026 edition.
After qualifying the Black Stars to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar at the expense of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, the former midfielder is set to make it again to USA, Canada and Mexico.
On Thursday, October 2, Addo named a 24-player squad for the battles against Central African Republic and Comoros on Wednesday, October 8 and Sunday, October 12 respectively.
Medeama SC’s Prince Owusu has joined Hearts of Oak’s Benjamin Asare as the only locally-based players in the squad while OGC Nice’s Kojo Peprah Oppong joins Owusu as the debut call-ups.
Returning to the team from injuries are Alidu Seidu of Stade Rennais and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku of Leicester City.
