The Petroleum Hub Development Corporation and Ghana National Petroleum Corporation have established a joint working committee to explore avenues for collaboration.

A statement posted on the Facebook page of the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Petroleum Hub Development Corporation, Onasis Kobby , Thursday, February 19,2026,said, “delighted to announce that, following productive preliminary discussions between our respective CEOs, Dr Toni Aubynn (PHDC) and Kwame Ntow Amoah (GNPC), the Petroleum Hub Development Corporation (PHDC) and the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) have established a joint working committee to explore avenues for collaboration.”

He added that, “The committee, co-chaired by myself and my colleague, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of GNPC (Exploration & Production), Michael N. A. Aryeetey, will engage extensively to identify ways we can partner to develop Ghana’s energy sector.

On behalf of my CEO, Dr Toni Aubynn, I expressed our profound gratitude to the CEO of GNPC, Kwame Ntow Amoah, and his entire Management for the immense support and receptiveness they have shown toward PHDC’s bid to collaborate with GNPC.”

“I also reiterated the need for collaboration and synergy among institutions in the energy sector to ensure that the vision of President John Dramani Mahama and his hardworking Energy Minister, Dr John Abdulai Jinapor, to achieve energy security for the country is fully realised.

My colleague, Michael N. A. Aryeetey, shares this belief. He holds that GNPC’s drive to become a fully-fledged energy company will be further strengthened by its collaboration with PHDC,” the message further read.

In his brief remarks Mr Ntow Amoah stated that GNPC’s Management is excited about the prospect of this collaboration and that the high-level representation on the committee is indicative of the seriousness and priority the organisation attaches to the partnership.

He noted that the GNPC team will collaborate effectively with the PHDC team to fast-track the engagement process and identify mutually beneficial opportunities for both institutions.

“I have no doubt that this collaboration will produce great success stories for Ghana’s energy sector,” he said.
