A loaded cement truck has rammed into a broken vehicle at location near Apam Junction on the Accra – Cape Coast highway leaving many trapped inside the mangled vehicles.
It was a very heart-wrenching scene on Tuesday morning May 31, at about 7:30 am when the truck loaded with cement from Mankessim direction run into a broken down truck on the road loaded with scraps.
Some motorists who bumped into the accident tell connect FM’s Omanbapa Morning Show host, Nhyiraba Paa Kwesi Simpson the driver of the cement truck which was heading towards the Accra direction upon seeing an approaching vehicle from the opposite direction, tried swerving and as a result, crashed into the broken down scrap truck that had no warning sign.
The driver and the mate of the cement truck were trapped and it took the efforts of the personnel from the Ghana National Fire service and National Ambulance team hours, to remove them from the disfigured vehicle.
