New Patriotic Party (NPP) members in Ashanti Region, have been urged to come together as one family and work hard to ensure the party recaptures power.
He said power can be won in 2028 only without divisive tendencies.
The Ashanti Regional Chairman of NPP, Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah (COKA) who made the call, said the doors of the new executives have been opened for everyone to come on board to ensure that the party mobilises needed votes to ensure a resounding victory for Dr Bawumia in 2028 General Elections.
He made this call during a thanksgiving service organized by the newly elected Ashanti Regional Executives of NPP to thank God for a successful election.
The thanksgiving service was held on Sunday, September 6,2026, at Gracefields Temple-Havillah City Chapel at Ahodwo in Kumasi.
The Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman, who was honoured by the Afigya Kwabre South Constituency executives, where he served 20 years as Constituency Chairman, led attendees to observe a minute of silence for the former Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, Mr Bernard Antwi Boasiako (Wontumi), who is currently serving a 20- year jail term .
According to COKA, the need for every member of the party to put behind the regional contest cannot be overemphasised ; they should rather forge ahead in unity.
He asked for forgiveness of any sin or offence he and other elected executives may have caused in the run-up to the campaign .
“I am asking you (supporters) to forgive me and my other executives any sin or offence we might have committed in the run-up to our election, and let’s all come together in unity “, he appealed.
“Again, if anyone has wronged us in any way, we have already forgiven them.
Let’s forgive one another. We’re all here to thank God, and this thanksgiving service can’t be complete if we don’t forgive one another”, he said.
He continued, “we want to win power in 2028. Power may elude us if we remain selective and divisive . We need unity to help Dr Bawumia win power”.
The Chairman of the Ashanti Regional NPP Caucus in Parliament, Kwame Ayimadu Antwi on behalf of 39 NPP MPs, pledged their unflinching support for the COKA-led executives.
“I am here as the caucus Chairman to pledge our unflinching support for the COKA-led executives “, he said.
