The Paramount Chief of Bole Traditional Area, Bole-Wura Sarfo Kutuge Feso, has commended the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, for the unflinching support he has showed to President John Mahama.

The chief said President Mahama is his son, hence the people of Bole are grateful for all that Mr Nketia has done for their kinsman.

Bole-Wura Sarfo Kutuge Feso made this statement through a spokesperson, Tinga-wura Seidu Samson Abudu, when Mr Nketiah paid a courtesy call at the Bole Palace as part of his ‘Thank You Tour’ of the Savannah Region on May 16.

The Tinga-Wura said although the Bole-Wura would have loved to welcome the Chairman of the NDC personally, other assignments had taken him out of town.

“When information got to the Paramount Chief, Bole-Wura that you were coming today with your people, he was really very excited. Unfortunately, for one or two other reasons, he’s currently in Tamale and will be here tomorrow. Indeed, he expressed his desire to have been around to receive you personally.

But, notwithstanding, he left some words with Mankuma- Wura, which I just want to say that first and foremost, he wants to express appreciation and gratitude personally to you, National Chairman, for the wonderful support you’ve given to his son, his brother, His Excellency the President John Mahama, all the way from the beginning up to date,” the Tinga-Wura, who is also the Savannah Regional representative on the Council of State said on behalf of the Bole-Wura.

The Bole-Wura urged Mr Nketiah to continue supporting President Mahama in implementing his reset agenda.

“He thinks that your support has really helped to raise him (President Mahama) to where he has reached. And he still wants to plead with you to continue to give him that support,” the Council of state member stated.

The occasion was used to present a special smock to Mr Nketiah. He was enskinned as Kaste-Wura (Man of Truth).

Mr Nketiah was in Bole as part of a tour of the Savannah and Northern regions. He used the opportunity to show appreciation to the chiefs and people for voting for the NDC in the 2024 elections.
